At the center of Tongguan was a market surrounded by these Qing Dynasty styled walls. The inside of the market was like any other I had seen in China, except for an overabundance of snakes, which are a delicacy in some parts of China. I have never seen as much snake meat as I did in Hunan though. And no, I didn't try it.
