I decided to settle in in a small village with only a couple thousand people called Tongguan. Unlike most of the other small farming villages, Tongguan's local economy is based on the dishware factory that employees most of its residents. A guy I met in the local tea house gave me a little tour. The factory makes cheap, generic, white disheware, like the ones used in banquets at big hotels. Chances are you've probably used Tongguan dishes before.
