A few days after New Years we took a day trip to the village where Melody was born which is called Gaiyang (45 mins from Mingxi). This is also the village where all of her uncles and aunts were also born (they have all since "moved up" Mingxi). This is Melody and her uncle (father's brother) standing near some old houses near where she grew up.
