Sanming is broken into two districts: San Yuen where Melody went to school and Mei Lie which has more of the shopping and fine dining. Speaking of fine dining, here's the local (and only) McDonald's, conveniently placed in the center of the downtown. On a rudimentary level you can often guage the level of development of a Chinese city based on how many McDonald's and KFCs there are.
