Macau is much smaller to Hong Kong, and home to just under half a million people, almost all of them are Cantonese speaking Han Chinese. There are very few Portuguese left today. Although Macau, like Hong Kong, has special economic priviledges it is not as glitzy as Hong Kong, as you can see by this street market.
