To get to the pool, which is actually a big lake up in the mountains, you have to ride a gondola, like you would find at a ski resort. As we were riding up, Nick mentioned how nice it was to be away from all the racket and commotion which is ubiquotous in Chinese cities, and to finally enjoy the sounds of nature. Just as he finished his sentence, we began hearing blasting Chinese pop music in the distance which was coming from a speaker attached to the lift. Apparently the sound of peace and quiet was just too much for the Chinese tourists to take in.
