There are no lines in China. Whether you're at the bank, at KFC, or in this case, waiting for a bus, people simply form a clump and crowd their way to the front, pushing and shoving whenever necessary. On the way from Kaifeng to Zhengzhou (where I had to go to catch a flight back to Fujian) they had apparently sold more tickets than there were spaces on the buses. The ensuing scuffle that broke out would have easily made it to the 6 o'clock news if it had happened in the US.
