The youth hostel I was staying at in Beijing organized a day trip to the great wall.  The main access point from Beijing to the Wall is only about an hour away from the city, but apparently the Wall there is completely restored and because of its vicinity to Beijing it is usually crawling with tourists.  This shot is from the short hike to get to the Wall.
