Tiannmen, you've all seen it before.  It's one of the most prominent symbols of China.  One thing I never realized before I went there was that there is a major boulevard between the square itself and the gate (the thing with the famous Mao picture).  Behind the gate is the Forbidden City which is supposedly the most extensive collection of ancient Chinese buildings still standing.
