This was the place I stayed in Ganlanba.  It was a restaurant run by a Dai family.  They had four small "rooms" in the corner which cost about $1.20 per night to rent.  This is a shot of the kitchen which opened up to a pond in the back.  That sink on the right was where I brushed my teeth, and the bathroom and showers are around the corner on the right.
