As another little interesting photo-related cultural point...The Chinese rarely, if ever, eat cheese.   Therefore it would not be so appropriate to expect people to say "cheese" when taking a picture.  Instead, the person taking the picture calls out "eggplant," (in Chinese of course)...the idea being that a smile resembles the shape of an eggplant.
